Employment is with the Research Foundation of SUNY, a private, nonprofit, educational corporation that administers sponsored program activity for the University at Albany.

Description of Duties:

The Secretary II position will serve grant funded programs in the University at Albany’s Office of Academic Support Services.  This person will be responsible for assisting with an array of administrative tasks associated with these programs.  This includes, but is not limited to, purchasing, travel, human resources, organizing logistics for trips and events as well as liaising with other departments, agencies and personnel. A successful candidate will embrace a fast-paced and diverse work environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

AAS Degree or equivalent experience, a minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in an administrative support role, a working knowledge of word-processing and presentation preparation (Word and PowerPoint), familiarity with use of the Internet, and a demonstrated ability to work in a high energy, team oriented environment required.  The candidate should also possess exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work with a culturally diverse group of people.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience coordinating multiple priorities, including outside vendors, clients, and funding sources.  Experience with human resources personnel and purchasing procedures.  Must be able to function in a high volume environment with tact and diplomacy.  Experience coordinating travel and event organization.
