The Research Foundation of SUNY, a private, not-for-profit organization managing sponsored program activity for the University at Albany, College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CSNE, http://cnse.albany.edu/) is seeking applicants for the position of Senior Process Technology Development Engineer to work in its 300mm semiconductor development facilities. A successful applicant will be developing 32nm and beyond semiconductor processes such as Lithography, Etch, CMP, PVD, CVD, Electroplating, Metrology and others using state-of-the-art equipment and materials and be a key resource in process and equipment development activities.

Incumbent’s responsibilities will include but may not be limited to: Recipe development, working in a team environment to carry out module development and improving module performance. Designing and conducting experiments to fully characterize materials and processes throughout the development cycle. Working with cross functional teams to solve technical process and defect challenges and mentoring technicians.

Qualifications:

B.S. from a college or university accredited by the USDOE or an internationally recognized accrediting organization or equivalent experience in an Engineering and/or Science discipline such as Materials Science and/or Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biochemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics and Chemistry or equivalent experience with at least 3 years of semiconductor industry experience or equivalent.

This position also requires excellent written and verbal communication skills. CNSE is a multi-client, consortium environment, so the successful individual must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills as well as an ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment is a must.  

Preferred Qualifications:

M.S. or Ph.D. from a college or university accredited by the USDOE or an internationally recognized accrediting organization or equivalent experience in an Engineering and/or Science discipline such as Materials Science and/or Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biochemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics and Chemistry
