Description
of Duties: The position involves
designing, conducting, analyzing and writing research on self-control,
motivation, and emotion. Postdoctoral research associate may analyze existing
data sets and pursue their own research interests. Candidates may also
co-ordinate research in the lab and mentor graduate and undergraduate
students. No teaching is necessary. Minimum Qualifications: Doctoral
degree or the equivalent from a foreign university in psychology with a broad
interest in social psychology, addictive behaviors or related fields and a
strong publication history. All degree requirements, including dissertation,
must be completed by time of appointment. The employee must have received
their doctoral degree within the last three years from the date of the
appointment. Successful candidates must have excellent training in
longitudinal and experimental design. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with relational databases (Microsoft
Access) is a plus, as is knowledge of hierarchical regression. Experience
with psychophysiological measures is also helpful. |
