Employment is with the Research Foundation of SUNY, a private, nonprofit, educational corporation that administers sponsored program activity for the University at Albany.

·        The Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD Albany) is a university-affiliated resource center that provides evidence-based training and support to families and professionals. CARD Albany serves a diverse population of families, educators, and community professionals, locally and statewide

 

Description of Duties:

·        Due to an anticipated vacancy, CARD Albany is currently seeking qualified individuals to develop and deliver education and training programs in the area of autism and related disabilities and to provide technical assistance and consultation using evidence-based models of practice

 

Minimum Qualifications:

·        Master’s degree in psychology, education, or related field from a college or university accredited by a USDOE or internationally recognized accrediting organization

·        Over 3 years experience working with children/youth with developmental disabilities

·        Comprehensive knowledge of developmental disabilities including education issues, intervention approaches, and positive behavior support

·        Ability to travel extensively throughout New York State

·        Knowledge of Microsoft Office

·        Excellent oral and written communication skills

·        Applicants must address in their applications their ability to work with culturally diverse populations

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Experience working with children/youth with autism spectrum disorders

·         Experience working in public school settings

·         Ability to travel nationally to conferences, trainings, etc.
