corporation that administers sponsored program activity for the University at
Description
of Duties: The EHS generalist duties
will include, but are not limited to: working as part of the CNSE EHS team to
provide daily oversight of EHS programs as assigned/or needed; revise and
implement assigned EHS procedures and compliance programs; participates in other EHS projects assigned
or recruited, including but not limited to engineering designs, construction
projects and biological safety program; revises or develops and provides
training programs as assigned; provides responsive and appropriate EHS
service to all clients, maintaining positive client feedback; assists in
contractor safety program elements; the candidate will be expected to play a
lead role on site Emergency Response Team. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in
science or engineering or related field form a college or university
accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized
accrediting organization; AND 2 years experience in facility EHS
operations; working knowledge of
general safety, industrial hygiene, chemistry, toxicology, biosafety,
radiation and all associated EHS regulations, including state and federal; ability to work independently and as part
of a team; must be a
self-starter; must have good time and
project management skills; ability to
set priorities for multiple tasks;
demonstrated computer proficiency using Microsoft products; excellent written and oral communication
and interpersonal skills; ability to process new information and formulate a
systematic plan in writing for development and implementation; evidence of
relevant continuing education and professional development; applicants must
address in their applications their abilities to work with a culturally
diverse population. Preferred Qualifications: Semiconductor, R&D or
academic environment experience. Notes: Position contingent on the availability of
