FUNCTION & SCOPE:

The Research Foundation of SUNY, a private, not-for-profit organization managing sponsored program activity for the University at Albany, seeks applicants for the position of Custodial  Support Technician (full time and part time (50%) available).

DESCRIPTION of JOB DUTIES: 

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·        Mop/vacuum floors every day or as directed.

·        Clean carpets, strip and apply floor wax using appropriate cleaning machines as directed.

·        Clean walls, doors, windows and dust as directed

·        Clean restrooms daily; toilets, sinks, etc.

·        Replace paper products, refill hand-washing soap in rest rooms

·        Stock/order supplies

·        Pick-up and throw out trash

·        Mop any liquid spills or leaks that occur

·        Follow Janitorial SOP when performing tasks

·        Assist with recycling program

·        Assist security of facility by reporting suspicious activity.

·        Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The position requires: basic mechanical ability (i.e. can use screwdriver, wrench), must be fluent in English and can write basic communication messages, must be able to use cell phone, and have experience in custodial or janitorial field.  Applicants must have experience working with culturally diverse groups.
