SUBJECT:       Leave Accrual Information on myUAlbany

We have recently added new functionality to myUAlbany to allow classified service employees to check their leave accrual information on-line.  To access this information, you should log onto myUAlbany (URL: http://www.albany.edu/myualbany/), click on the “Log On” button and enter your NetID and password.  If you don't know your NetID or password, you should click on the “Password” button at the bottom of the logon page and proceed as directed by the system (Note: If you are an Integrated Administrative System user, your NetID is the same as your User ID and your password is the same for both myUAlbany and IAS).  Once you are signed in, you will see a link for “My Leave Information” under “Employee Services” on the right hand side of the page.  Clicking on this link will take you to the “Current Balances” page together with three other tabs (links) shown at the top of the page (Note: Because of the calculations that are going-on "behind the scenes" before this page displays, it may take several seconds to load, so please be patient).  The functions of each of the pages listed on the tabs are as follows:

Current Balances:  This page shows the types of leave for which you are currently accruing together with the beginning balances, accruals (for the latest recorded two-week period), adjustments, usage and ending balances as of the accrual date listed.  There is also a section labeled “Leave not yet added/subtracted from Current Leave Balances,” which displays any leave reporting that you have done via a time sheet or time card that has been input by the Time Records Office but has not yet been processed (i.e. subtracted from your balances) by the system.

Usage History: This page displays all occurrences of leave used in reverse chronological order going back to the initiation of the current PeopleSoft-based system in June 2000 or your initial campus appointment date, whichever is later.

Leave Summary by Report Period:  On this page is shown a summary of activity in each leave category by 2-week pay period, again in reverse chronological order going back to the initiation of the current PeopleSoft-based system in June 2000 or your initial campus appointment date, whichever is later.  To view the complete summary, click on the “View All” link in the heading.

Summary—Classified Employees:  The information on this page corresponds with the leave summary for the most recently completed four-week reporting period that appears on the label that classified employees receive every four weeks to affix to their time sheet or time card (Note: Information is displayed horizontally for each leave type not vertically as on the label).  Any discrepancies between the information on this page and your personal records should be reported to either Denise Heiserman or Jennifer Nichols in the Time Records Office.
