 Minimum Requirements:
Open Competitive:  One year of experience as a skilled tradesperson with appropriate experience which will vary based on the assigned responsibilities in the mechanical, electrical, building or other trades subsequent to the completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.

Operating Needs:
A valid driver's license is a requirement for this position.  
Willing to accommodate shift changes as required by the work assignment.
Ideal candidate will have the following preferred qualifications and experiences:

Supervising in a unionized environment with subordinates of multiple skills; Prior supervisory experience with at least three trades including Carpenters, Roofers, Sheet metal workers, Plumbers, Masons and General Mechanics; Implementing Performance programs for subordinate staff and assigning tasks based on skills sets; Working in coordination with other trade shops; Provide training as necessary; Maintaining an accurate  supply inventory; Operating/maintain a supply budget while projecting budgetary needs for long and short term planning; Present budget reports to appropriate staff; Purchase materials according to state guidelines; Compose purchasing contracts for services and/or materials; Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program; Use a CMMS program; Oversee the maintenance of equipment; Detailed record keeping;  Needs to possess a working knowledge of commercial roof replacement and maintenance systems; Experience in reading and review of architectural prints; Work with manufacturers on warranty issues; Attending a state-sponsored supervisory training course.
