Applications are invited for consideration for appointment for the following academic position:

QUALIFICATIONS

Assistant Professor OR Associate Professor OR Full Professor

(2 positions)

School of Information Science and Policy

The ideal candidate will have a strong research and teaching portfolio in information or a related field, and expertise in one or more of the following areas is especially desirable:  database and information management; digital libraries and archives; human-computer interaction; information architecture; information literacy; information policy; information retrieval; information security; and/or social information networks.  They should have the ability to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and have a demonstrated capability to work with and instruct diverse groups of people.

Assistant Professor:  Completed or be nearing completion of a Ph.D. in a field relevant to the needs of the school.  Research direction and results should show good promise of substantive future contributions to their field.  Teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level preferred.

Associate Professor:  Progressive experience with teaching, research, grants development, and community service in relevant field at the Associate Professor level, or have sufficient research, teaching and service experience at the Assistant Professor level (approximately 5 years) to allow them to attain Associate Professor status within a period of one year.

Professor:  Progressive experience with teaching, research, grants development, and community service at the Professor level in relevant field, or have sufficient research, teaching and service experience at the Associate Professor level (approximately 10 years) to allow them to attain full Professor status within a period of one year.  Evidence of a strong research and grant development history will be preferred.
