The Department of Public Administration & Policy, Rockefeller College of
Public Affairs and Policy, University at Albany, SUNY seeks a tenure-track
applied microeconomist or micro econometrician with a background in
government program and/or policy evaluation.
Rockefeller College is home to a diverse group of over
40 full-time scholars interested in teaching and research issues of
importance in the public and non-public sectors and who work through six
affiliated research centers. The Department of Public Administration and
Policy offers an undergraduate major, two nationally ranked masters’ degrees
(Master of Public Administration and Master of Arts in Public Affairs and
Policy) and a Ph.D. in Public Administration and Policy. We actively seek and

The
successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Economics and will have strong
teaching and research skills. The
degree(s) must be from a college or university accredited by a U.S.
Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting
organization. Experience in the
practice of policy analysis or program evaluation is preferred but not
required. Applicants must address in
their application their ability to work with culturally diverse populations.
We have a strong preference for someone with research and teaching interests
in econometric evaluations of government programs or policies. The successful
applicant may have research interests in a substantive field such as health,
education, welfare programs, or public security and hazard mitigation.
Ability to contribute to more than one of the listed research and teaching
areas, or other areas such as the economics of organizations, financial
market regulation, or quantitative methods is advantageous.
