Finance, School of Business

 

The Finance Department of the School of Business is recruiting for an Assistant Professor of Finance.  Responsibilities include producing high-quality publications in any area of finance, and teaching in fixed income and/or derivatives at a high level.  The normal teaching load is six credit hours per semester. Specific duties include:  classroom instruction of culturally diverse undergraduate and graduate students; preparation of lectures, exercises; grading exams and papers; working with and advising students.  Faculty must keep abreast of developments in their field; participate in professional conferences and conduct their own research; and serve on faculty and administrative committees.  This is a tenure track position. 

The University at Albany (www.albany.edu) is one of four designated University Centers in the SUNY system.

Applicants should possess an earned doctorate, or expect completion prior to the time of appointment.  The degree(s) must be from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.  Industry experience and/or a CFA charter are a plus.   Applicant must address in their application their ability to work with culturally diverse populations.
