|
Reporting to
the Director of the Office of Research Compliance, the Research Compliance
Office Coordinator will join the team responsible for ensuring that
University faculty, students, and staff are in compliance with federal,
state, and university regulatory requirements with regard to research that
involves: Human Subjects, laboratory
animals, and biohazardous materials.
The successful candidate will provide a broad range of professional
administrative support to the Director in support of Research Compliance
Activities. Manage, administer, and monitor the department's annual operating
budgets and finances. Perform
accounting transactions for all fund sources for the Office (Research
Foundation, State, Income Fund Reimbursable) including purchasing, billing,
payment verification/processing, account reconciliation, and accurate
record-keeping and reporting of accounting activities. Human Resource transactions including
processing extra service payments, recruitment, and other HR
activities. Liaison between the Office of Research Compliance and other
University Offices and external entities.
Communicate regularly with Director and staff regarding expenditure
requests and account status.
Miscellaneous administrative duties and coordination of Office of
Research Compliance activities including creating presentations, gathering
data and information for reports; creating databases as necessary to track
critical information. Oversee work of
Graduate Assistants, students. The
position will require the ability to work as a member of a team, but also
independently, prioritize demands and efficiently manage multiple priorities
within given deadlines. Superior
organizational skills and demonstrated attention to accuracy and detail are
required. Strong interpersonal, analytical and oral/written communication
skills are required. Must be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office
Suite products to include MS Word, Excel and Access. |

Qualifications: |
|||||
|
Required:
Degree from a college or university accredited by a U.S.
Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting
organization. Minimum of 3 years
progressively responsible administrative experience. Understanding of and demonstrated
experience with budget and expense management. Proficiency in MS Windows and Microsoft
Office (MS Word, Excel, and Access). Must
be a self-starter and possess the ability to manage multiple priorities,
multi-task. Able to work
independently and as a team member. Demonstrated
analytical, decision-making, and organizational skills. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal
skills. Applicants must address in their application their ability to work
with a culturally diverse population. Preferred: Experience working in
a higher education, university setting.
Experience with Research Foundation and/or State University of New
York financial management and administration. Administrative experience in a research
compliance office or equivalent. |
