Qualifications: |

|
Qualifications: Required - Baccalaureate degree. Relevant experience and
training. Familiarity with basic conservation philosophy and ethics.
Demonstrated ability and experience with book repair (rebacking, board
reattachment, resewing, recasing, pamphlet binding, etc.), flat paper repair
(dry cleaning, humidification and pressing, washing, mending), and enclosure
construction (phase boxes, portfolios, encapsulation, matting and framing).
Working knowledge of Windows applications. Strong service orientation.
Ability and willingness to work according to departmental specifications,
guidelines, and procedures. Excellent
interpersonal and oral and written communication skills. Applicants must address in their
applications their abilities to work with a culturally diverse
population. Preferred: Two years experience with technical processing in a
large library environment, supervisory experience, reformatting experience
(photocopying, microfilming, scanning), and experience teaching or conducting
workshops. |
