The University at Albany Libraries
seeks a .5 FTE Technology Specialist for its Interactive Media Center (IMC),
reporting to the Coordinator of the |

|
Qualifications: |
|||||
|
Minimum qualifications: Bachelors degree
in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field from a
college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or
international recognized accrediting organization; experience administering
Windows and Macintosh environments,
including installing software, configuring operating systems, securing hard
drive and network access, and addressing levels of access; experience with
multimedia editing and production on Windows and /or Macintosh platforms. Applicants must address in their
applications their abilities to work with a culturally diverse
population. Preferred qualifications: Library and/or teaching experience;
Macintosh or Microsoft certification or equivalent experience (.e.g. ACPT,
MCSA); knowledge of current and emerging technologies in digital and
Web-based services and familiar with Web 2.0 social networking technologies. |
