|
Within
the ITS Faculty Technology Resources group this position will provide support
for faculty and staff in their use of equipment (classroom technology and
video conferencing) for instructional and University purposes; develop
training programs for faculty and staff in the use of AV, technology
classroom and video conferencing equipment; prepare documentation for users
including content for ITS web site and internal documentation for CSS staff
regarding procedures; support other Faculty Technology Resources initiatives
(i.e., programs, special projects, etc.); participate in committees and
workgroups; perform other duties as assigned. The Instructional Support
Specialist would maintain a year-round flexible hours schedule (mostly
afternoons and evenings, with some daytime hours). |

Qualifications: |
|||||
|
Required: Bachelor's degree from a college
or university accredited by a US Department of Education of internationally
recognized accrediting organization; experience troubleshooting and
maintaining AV and multimedia set ups; minimum one (1) year experience in
providing customer support; minimum one (1) year experience in the
development and delivery of presentations, workshops and/or trainings in an
educational setting; working knowledge of common desktop hardware and
software operating systems (Windows XP, Macintosh) and Windows productivity
applications software (word processing, spread sheets); excellent
communication skills (oral and written). Preferred: Experience working with faculty
in a teaching/learning environment; previous work experience providing
classroom and lab technology support. |
